Halloween Party!
On Sunday night, October 31st, at the Blueberry Art Gallery in Alexandria, Va…the “Del Ray” area, there will be a Halloween Party from 8 pm to Midnight…

2 paintings in the blueberry art gallery
i now have 2 paintings at the blueberry art gallery in “del ray” in alexandria, virginia. the address is 2417 mt. vernon avenue. the paintings are entitled, “wheatfield” and “paris.” please visit the gallery and the surrounding area. it is a very cool spot…on the lower level…and it sits between caboose bakery and the handmade pizza company.

a movie
last night i went to see the movie, “mao’s last dancer.” superb acting, gorgeous dancing and it’s a true story…a must see in my estimation and i can’t wait to watch it again.

i mentioned that i have a friend who recently had her shoulder replaced. she is up and about and feeling remarkably well considering it’s only been 2 weeks since her operation.

we went to see crosby, stills and nash at the “jiffy lube” last night. they are a lot older now and their sound is not quite as tight and their harmony is not as beautiful as it was in the “olden days”, but they are off my “bucket list.” we missed a lot of their music because we were in traffic, but it was still good to hear them play and they came back for 2...

tuesday morning
this morning i went to my car to look for my helmut. of course it wasn’t there, it was in a closet that i didn’t bother to check. but when i opened the trunk of my car, i closed it and didn’t get completely out of the way of the trunk and the bike rack. what a kkkkkknock on the head…omg! it still hurts…
but i had plans and i managed to ice and take aleve and went for...

during the blackout a couple of weeks ago, my bicycle was stolen. today i went back to revolution cycle (great place to buy a bike) and purchased a new one. i’m going out with a friend tomorrow…can’t wait!
over the weekend...sunday
visited the smithsonian american art museum…saw the spielberg/lucas norman rockwell collection. fabulous!
the museum is open until 7:00 p.m. everyday during the summer and the lines move very quickly from 3:00 p.m. on.
rockwell had such an amazing flare for telling a story…often without words.
don’t miss the movie that is within the exhibit…i wish it had been a little...

over the weekend...saturday
we took a drive to north beach, maryland and to herrington harbour. we had no idea where we were going, but the newest washingtonian magazine suggested north beach as a place to visit. so, we had an adventure and it was so much fun. it’s on the chesapeake and the weather was gorgeous and the water was calm. perfect day!

in between appointments on this day i took the opportunity to visit the katzen arts center on massachusetts avenue in d.c.
there is a fabulous exhibit of ceramic sculptures by japanese women and i highly recommend taking the time to explore their gorgeous work.
so much to do and so little time..as ususal. the exhibit ends on august 15th. i didn’t have the luxury of spending hours at the...

it’s been another long, hot day. i don’t know about all of you, but i’ve had it with this weather. and it’s only going to get worse…102 degrees on saturday…yuck!
i’m going to paint now…i’m starting a new piece and incorporating some flowers that i just bought. i’ll send a picture.

this past weekend was unbelievably hot, but even in the heat, my boyfriend and i biked from the bethesda trail to hains point and back. our trip was about 25 miles. it was great! and then we biked another 8 miles on sunday. that little jaunt was from national airport to old town and back.
